This Acceptable Use Policy governs what you may create, upload and distribute using Vidzap, operated by Formless Inc. It forms part of our Terms of Service.
Vidzap exists to make advertising creative. The rules below exist so it does not get used to make something else. They apply to your prompts, your uploads, the content you generate, and how you use that content once you have downloaded it.
Breaching this policy can result in content removal, loss of credits, and permanent account termination. Certain breaches result in immediate termination and a report to law enforcement.
1. Absolutely prohibited
There is no exception, no artistic-intent defense and no appeal to a legitimate purpose for any of the following.
Child sexual abuse material and minor sexualization. You may not upload, prompt for, generate, request or distribute sexual or sexualised content involving anyone under 18, real or synthetic. You may not upload media depicting a minor to any Vidzap feature, for any purpose. You may not attempt to generate a person who appears to be a minor in a sexual, suggestive or intimate context. Confirmed violations result in immediate termination, preservation of records and a report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children as US law requires.
Non-consensual intimate imagery. You may not create or distribute intimate, nude or sexually explicit depictions of a real, identifiable person without their documented consent — including “nudifying” or undressing a clothed image, and including content presented as fictional but recognizably depicting a real person.
Content that facilitates serious harm. Instructions or assistance for building weapons, explosives, chemical or biological agents; content that promotes, glorifies or provides instruction in terrorism or mass violence; content that promotes self-harm, suicide or eating disorders.
Sanctions and prohibited-party use. You may not use Vidzap if you are located in a comprehensively sanctioned jurisdiction, or if you are on a restricted-party list under applicable trade-control law.
2. Likeness, impersonation and deepfakes
- No depicting real people without consent. You may not generate content depicting an identifiable real person unless you hold the consent required by the Media Upload Agreement. Being a public figure, celebrity, politician or executive is not consent.
- No impersonation. You may not create content that falsely presents itself as being from, endorsed by or affiliated with a real person, brand, publisher, government body or news organization.
- No synthetic voices of real people without consent. Voice is a likeness.
- No fabricated events presented as real. You may not present synthetic footage as authentic documentary evidence, real news footage, real security or bodycam footage, or a genuine recording of something that happened.
- No electoral or civic disinformation. You may not generate content depicting candidates, elected officials, election officials or electoral processes in a way designed to deceive, nor content that misrepresents voting procedures, dates, eligibility or results.
3. Advertising conduct
Vidzap makes ads, so these rules go beyond content and cover how you advertise.
- No false or unsubstantiated claims. Do not generate ads making health, medical, financial, earnings or performance claims you cannot substantiate. “The AI wrote it” is not a defense — under consumer-protection law you are the advertiser.
- No fabricated testimonials presented as real. An AI-generated creator saying they used your product is not a customer review. Do not present synthetic endorsements, reviews or before-and-after results as genuine customer experiences.
- Disclose AI where required. Many jurisdictions and every major ad platform now require disclosure that an endorser, testimonial or depiction is AI-generated. Meeting that obligation is your responsibility.
- No fake authority. Do not generate content depicting doctors, lawyers, financial advisors, government officials or law enforcement giving advice or endorsements in a way designed to imply real professional backing.
- No prohibited-category evasion. Do not use Vidzap to produce creative for categories you are barred from advertising, or to disguise a restricted product to get past a platform’s review.
- No counterfeit or infringing promotion. Do not generate creative for counterfeit goods, pirated content, or products that infringe another party’s IP.
- No scams. No phishing, no fake giveaways, no fraudulent investment or crypto schemes, no bait-and-switch offers, no fake urgency built on invented facts.
4. Harassment, hate and violence
- No content that harasses, bullies, threatens, degrades or incites violence against a person or group.
- No content that promotes hatred against, or dehumanizes, people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, disability, disease, immigration status, sex, gender identity or sexual orientation.
- No content that promotes or celebrates a hate group or violent extremist organization.
- No doxxing or generating content that exposes a person’s private information.
- No graphic or gratuitous violence, gore, or realistic depictions of a real person being injured or killed.
5. Sexual content
Vidzap is an advertising platform and is not intended for adult content. You may not generate pornographic or sexually explicit material, and you may not use the Services to produce creative for adult services. Nudity in a genuine artistic, medical or educational context may be permitted at our discretion; sexualised content involving real identifiable people, and anything at all involving minors, never is.
6. Privacy and surveillance
- No using Vidzap to identify, verify, authenticate, track or surveil any person.
- No biometric categorization of people by sensitive attributes.
- No emotion inference in workplace or educational settings.
- No uploading someone’s personal or sensitive information without a lawful basis.
- No scraping facial images from the web or CCTV to build a likeness.
7. Platform and security abuse
- No circumventing safety filters, content moderation, credit metering, rate limits or jurisdictional restrictions — including through prompt injection, obfuscated prompts, encoding tricks or chained generations.
- No creating multiple accounts to farm free credits, evade a suspension or bypass a limit.
- No automated access outside a documented API, no scraping the Services, and no reverse engineering.
- No reselling raw Vidzap access, sublicensing your account, or providing a wrapper service that resells generations without permission. (Using Outputs for your clients as an agency is permitted — that is what the commercial license is for.)
- No uploading malware, and no interfering with the integrity, security or performance of the Services.
- No using Outputs to train a competing generative model.
8. Third-party model rules also apply
Your generations may be routed to third-party AI model providers whose own content policies apply on top of this one. A provider may refuse, block or alter a request independently of us, and their restrictions may be broader than ours in places. A refusal by a provider is not a malfunction.
9. How we enforce this
We use automated detection, human review and user reports. Depending on severity, history and intent, we may:
- block a generation at request time;
- remove content and refuse to re-render it;
- issue a warning;
- restrict features, throttle or suspend the account;
- terminate the account and forfeit unused credits; or
- preserve records and report to law enforcement.
Child safety violations, non-consensual intimate imagery and sanctions violations result in immediate termination without warning. For everything else we aim to be proportionate, and first-time issues that look like genuine mistakes are usually handled with a warning.
Enforcement decisions can be appealed within 30 days — see our Trust & Safety Policy.
10. Reporting a violation
| What you are reporting | Where to send it |
|---|---|
| Child safety concerns | trust@vidzap.ai — marked urgent |
| Non-consensual intimate imagery | trust@vidzap.ai |
| Your likeness used without consent | trust@vidzap.ai |
| Copyright or trademark infringement | dmca@vidzap.ai |
| Anything else | support@vidzap.ai |
Include enough detail to locate the content. Reports made in bad faith, or used to harass another user, are themselves a breach of this policy.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as the product, the law and the abuse landscape change. Material changes take effect at least 14 days after notice, except where an immediate change is needed to address a safety or legal risk.
